She has spent a lot of time growing businesses with both subscription and ad-funded revenue models and she’s an expert in identifying the best strategy to implement and scale growth across multiple markets. In her dual role as General Manager for Europe and MD for Southern and Eastern Europe, Federica is responsible for Spotify's businesses in the entire European region, including the UK and Ireland, France and Benelux, Dach, Southern and Eastern Europe on top of the Nordics region, the home country of the company. She’s in charge of Spotify's initiatives with full P&L responsibility and a specific focus on strategy and operations, marketing, music, podcast and anything related to the growth of the local business. Pre-Spotify, she worked at YouTube /Google for over a decade where she joined the US leadership team who launched YouTube TV in 2017, an app based product that offers linear TV via a subscription business model. Prior to her U.S. experience, she worked on launching YouTube in several Southern European countries and was in charge of developing content partnerships with various media and publishing groups (e.g. Mediaset, Rai, Viacom, Sky, Fox, Disney). Previously, she had worked as international media partnerships manager at Buongiorno, an Italian start-up, and her career in the content business began at BMG/Sony Publishing, where she was a member of the Pop Music division.
