# Event Details - **Event Name**: Equinox Ecstatic Dance w/ Drum Circle @ The Bea Hive - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 02 Oct, 2026 at 05:30 pm – Fri, 02 Oct, 2026 at 09:30 pm (-04:00) - **Event Description**: **Mandatory Pre-Registration Link: https://forms.gle/RViQvptsgZJdn6rM9 Mark your calendars for Friday, October 2nd at The Bea Hive for a unique Ecstatic Dance Journey featuring vibrations curated by local artists Ki5 and Sundance. Ki5 will open and close the set, offering gentle verbal guidance to invite the body into movement, expression, and connection. As the dance wave builds, Sundance will lead a powerful live drum circle during the crescendo, bringing rhythm and collective energy into the space. Together, they will create a live-curated musical journey that rises toward a peak of movement, rhythm, and connection before flowing into a closing meditation, gently guiding us back into stillness. We will be celebrating the turning of the wheel from Summer into Fall for this Autumn Equinox Celebration. The Autumn Equinox marks a beautiful moment of balance, when day and night are nearly equal. This dance offers an opportunity to honor the changing season and embrace the energy of transition, surrender, and release, just as the leaves release in the Fall. You are encouraged to come dressed in the spirit of the forest: Woodland animals, fairies, gnomes, goblins, elves, or mystical creatures. We will be dancing outside so dress in layers to be most comfortable. This family friendly event is for people of all ages and all walks of life. The event is a LGBTQ friendly and safe space. Ecstatic Dance is a freeform style of movement practice where you move, or don’t move, however you wish, while benefiting from a safe container intentionally curated to inspire you to flow. This practice is a beautiful way to release stagnant energy that no longer serves you and tap into that natural, divine being that we all are. Ki5 Ki5, also known as Kyler Wilkins, is a vocalist, songwriter, and producer from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has been performing as Ki5 using a loop station to build songs from scratch in full view of audiences since 2017. His performances naturally have a blend of pre-written original songs and improvisations fully created on the spot. Having opened for Erykah Badu, Reggie Watts, and CeCe Peniston, Ki5 represents himself as a seasoned Michigan artist who continuously spreads his unique style of vocal-driven music to the masses. His vibrant, harmonic composition style explores the human voice meshed with beatboxing and delivers familiar genres such as R&B, pop, soul, and more. His honest, empathetic, and freeing style has been influenced by Reggie Watts, and Bon Iver and his latest passion has been improvising full sets of music that make people want to move. Kyler loves contributing to spaces where they feel they are free to let loose and be just as they are in their unique beauty and power. Sundance Sundance Robert DiDomenico is a percussionist, drum-maker, teacher, and community drum-circle facilitator based in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area. His path to the drum grew from a passion for healing, community building, and the transformative power of rhythm. With years of experience studying, teaching, performing, and building drums, Sundance has explored drumming traditions from West Africa, Brazil, Cuba, and Haiti. Through his drum circles and music-making, he creates spaces for connection, presence, joy, and collective expression—inviting people to discover the rhythm within themselves and feel the shared heartbeat of the community.
