Dyeing with the fresh leaves from Japanese Indigo gives a beautiful aqua color that is completely unique. We'll walk through the steps of growing, harvesting, and dyeing with the fresh leaves from Japanese Indigo. Each participant will get a silk handkerchief to dye. Then we will begin the process of extracting indigo pigment from the fresh leaves. This process takes several days. For those who are able and interested, we will be finishing that process at 8 am on Monday, July 21 at the same location.
