Situated just outside of Brits in the North West Province (less than an hour's drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria), this spring-fed, open-cast chrome mine is one of South Africa’s most legendary inland scuba diving destinations. It functions as a massive hub for both recreational weekend dives and structured training courses.

20 to 22 degree water even in winter!!! 

Submerged Attractions (Wrecks)
To keep navigation and training interesting, the lake features an impressive collection of purposely sunken objects scattered across the bottom. Suitably trained divers can explore or safely penetrate:
A Puma helicopter
A commercial bus
An aeroplane
Several yachts
small boats
Quirky training spots like a sunken swimming pool, a kitchen setup, and even a mock computer station.
