The reason to stay in shape this December. The Jackal Dash MTB Challenge returns on the 6th of February 2021.

Starting out at Heron Bridge College and finishing at Northern Farm. The race features brings you no shortage of single track action from within the farm, the neighboring reserves and privately owned farms. This is the only event to race these trails.

The race features distances & trails suitable to all levels of riders.

Race options include:-

25km / 45km & 65km

- 25km Mtb

The 20km Mtb will happen within the trails at Northern Farm, this is a great introduction to Mtb racing with a fair combination of district roads & single track. There is nothing technical about this route. Total ascent +- 220m

- 45km Mtb

This is probably the most popular of all the categories & sells out well before the race & for a good reason.

This is the perfect blend of Northern Farm trails and it's neighboring reserves. We avoid the extreme friendship testing hilly stuff & take you just far enough to enjoy the beauty of the Crocodile River Reserve. Whilst inside the farm, we take you to the action of our most loved trails without you having to be a technical wizard behind the bars. Total ascent +- 530m

- 65km Mtb

We call this distance the "Cake Tin" for a reason, we get to see who trained over the festive period & who got stuck into the cake tin. This is a great test of your endurance resolve & skill, but 2021 will be faster as we have reversed the loop to make it easier & more flowing.

This route takes you into the heart of the Crocodile River Reserve, you will not believe that you are so close to Joburg when you make your way through the testing single trails back to the farm. Inside the farm we have laid out a combination of our most enjoyable trail for you, but as with any single track work still needs to be done to get you home... Total ascent 910m
