- **Event Description**: Exciting dance moves that will turn heads and get you noticed.

We will start with the cross body lead with the ladies inside turn and the cross body lead release along with the transition from closed dance position to open dance position.

Next we will learn the matador ending in the styling of the waterfall.

Then we will learn the sombrero and how to combine the cross body lead with the sombrero to create a new move.

After that, we will add a head roll for the lady from the sombrero with ladies inside turn.

We will concentrate on connecting with our partner, creating strong, sure leads and sensitive follows, smooth transitions and ladies styling. We will show you how to put these all together so that you may move smoothly from one combination to another and make your dancing flow!

No partner is necessary. We rotate partners in class. This will help you develop your skills more quickly and allow everybody the opportunity to practice the steps being taught and also to meet new people with whom you might practice at another time. Nevertheless, you may stay with one partner if you choose.

FAQ AND FYI

SHOES: We recommend soles that allow you to slide safely across the dance floor, such as leather, smooth plastic, or suede. A closed back, or a strap across the heel, will help keep your foot in place as you turn. Rubber-soled shoes, athletic shoes and flip flops are not recommended.

CLOTHING: Although we don't have a strict dress code, the norm for our classes is nicer-casual. Layers are suggested as you will heat up as the class progresses. Clothing should breathe. Cotton or other natural fibers is preferred. Clothing that restricts your movements is not recommended.

We will take a 10 minute break during the Mini Boot Camp. We suggest you bring a drink and a snack such as fruit, cheese or nuts for the break.

YOU NEED TO KNOW THE CROSS BODY LEAD AND THE RIGHT PIVOT TURN TO FULLY BENEFIT FROM THIS CLASS. IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THOSE STEPS PLEASE CONSIDER ENROLLING IN OUR SULTRY SALSA #101 CLASS FIRST.
