This 70-acre property is owned by the Rambler Trust and managed by Lancaster Conservancy. Restoring native ecology is critically important to this unique parcel in the federally designated Highlands region, which stretches from Pennsylvania through Connecticut.Please Note: This property owned by the Rambler Trust is not open for public access or recreation.What to Expect and How to Prepare: We will use hand tools to remove invasive shrubs and weeds. The work involves using loppers and hand saws to cut shrubs at their base. Some of the shrubs have thorns. All tools and work gloves are provided.Dress for the weather and wear clothes you don’t mind getting muddy or torn. Sturdy pants are recommended due to the presence of thorns. Bring drinking water. There are no restrooms on site. This event is recommended for ages 12 and up (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult).**Where to Meet: Please meet at the parking lot area for State Game Lands 246 on Schoolhouse Road in Middletown, PA.
