February – Loose Leash Love

Big idea: Walking nicely together.
Skills: Reinforcement zone at your side, “let’s go,” stopping for pulling, auto check-ins.
-Beginner: 5–10 step loose leash walks in quiet space, lots of rewards.
-Intermediate: Figure-8s, walking past people/dogs at a distance.
-Advanced: Heeling games, pattern walking around distractions.

What to Bring:
-6’ fixed-length leash & flat collar (no retractables or harnesses)
-Any training tools you use
-High-value treats
-Water for you and your dog

Important Info:
-One dog per adult.
-Anyone under 18 must be pre-approved to handle a dog.
-No dog-to-dog or dog-to-person contact during lessons; post-session play is at your own risk and away from others.
-Reactive dogs are welcome—please contact the trainer beforehand.
-Dogs must be up to date on vaccines.
-Intact dogs welcome; dogs in season must wear a diaper.
