Take home1-3 banners of words/phrases of affirmation and/or social commentary. This is a no-sew project using ordinary items to create large fabric banners from easily sourced upholstery panels, pillow cases and fabric remnants. Your ticket includes generous supplies to make this an easy, festive experience with RTG signage / expressions!
ℹ️ Affirmation banners is affirming crafting day & space for makers to create and collaborate on social action/craftivism (craft + activism).
Letters will be stenciled/hand drawn onto fabric and then ironed onto banners to create meaningful affirmations. They can be embellished at home w/ hand stitching, more applique or adding tabs for hanging.
A high-five to "Art for a Cause", this circle is an ideal time to create a portable protest banner, door sign or visual art of affirmations. Bring ideas for words, phrases, quotes, etc. Look online for inspiration or ponder the possibilities. We'll be selecting contrasting/complimentary textiles, measuring, drawing, making letters, cutting and ironing them onto medium sized fabrics. Beginners-Intermediate-Advanced makers welcomed!
