Spend the day learning block printing on fabric with printmaker Linda Griswold Davis. In this hands-on workshop, students will design and carve their own linoleum block and learn how to print on cotton fabric using high quality fabric inks. The class covers image transfer, carving techniques, inking, and how to make clean, repeatable prints on a range of textile surfaces.

All basic materials are provided, including cotton fabric, linoleum blocks, ink, and shared tools. Students are welcome to bring their own cotton items to print on, such as shirts, tote bags, napkins, or fabric yardage. Fabric should be 100 percent cotton with no existing print and should be washed before the class.

An optional carving tool kit is available for an additional fee, or students may bring their own tools from home.

Open to all skill levels, ages 12 and up.
