We’re pleased to announce that annual FREE ENTRY New Years Day Comedy Club will take place as usual on Thursday 1st January 2026. STRICTLY MEMBERS ONLY 12-1pm, the door will be manned during this period. From 1pm members can then sign-in up to 3 guests each as usual. The Comedy Club will start around 2.30pm.

Your Host - Danny Deegan is a comedian, writer and actor who began performing in 2003, and has since risen steadily through the ranks of the most prestigious comedy clubs in the UK. His tales of mischief and the characters he creates have kept audiences all over the country enthralled as he weaves in and out of the people he has met travelling. His talent and likability coupled with a confident swagger see him as one of the most popular acts in the North.
Middle - Raul Kohli has fast become one of the most captivating Asian acts on the UK comedy circuit. As one of the few Asian comedians to have grown-up in the North East of England, he’s blessed with a worldwide view that upends ethnicity , culture and class. Kholi combines ‘Superb political comedy’ (The Scotsman) with surreal storytelling.
Penultimate - Dawn Bailey is a forty something (ahem just turned 50)Mam who views life through happy specs and giddy knickers (her own words)
An original performer, Dawn won the XS Manchester Radio Comedian of the Year in 2016, which led to her presenting a show on the station. With a likeable and affable nature, Dawn is a regular on the UK comedy circuit and performs for some of the most reputable promoters in the country.
To Close - Gavin Webster has been on the rise.He’s been on the rise for over twenty years. After making his modest debut in a pub in Gateshead in February 1993 he’s done about three thousand gigs from Aberdeen to Abu Dhabi, Manchester to Melbourne and Hartlepool to Hong Kong
