- **Event Description**: Welcome to Trick Dog Thursday! Our novice class is a group class dedicated to teaching you how to treat lure properly, work through basic tricks and cueing... ALL WHILE HAVING FUN! Angela will guide you through movement based tricks that allow you to have fun with your dog! At the end of the 5 week course, we will take the Trick Dog Novice test available through AKC! Passing scores will receive their Trick Dog Novice Certification and will be able to advance to the next class! 

This class is good for folks ages 10-100years old. Dogs will need to be able to in a group setting without heightened stress (excitement and exhuberance is ok! extreme nervousness and fear are not). Reactive dogs working with our training staff are welcomed with proper training tools to keep everyone safe. 

Dogs should be treat or toy motivated. Owners will need to bring enough kibble/treats for a 45 mins class or a toy that creates great excitement. We recommend NOT feeding dogs before class to ensure a great amount of food motivation. Dogs may use part of their meal for class if that is motivating as well. 

Owners will need to bring a treat pouch with enough motivation for the full 45 mins class, water for themselves and their dog, sunscreen or bugspray as appropriate, a fixed length leash and preferred training tool. Retractable leashes, e collars and harnesses will NOT be permitted for this class.
