- **Event Description**: The 48th Ohio Scottish Games & Celtic Festival which will take place on June 27-28, 2025 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea, OH. 

The festival will feature highland athletics including Caber Toss (telephone pole), pipe band competitions, falcon demonstrations, border collie demonstrations, musical entertainment, highland dance competitions, harp & fiddle competition, British Cars, genealogy, clans exhibits, workshops, whiskey tasting, kilted mile, children area with puppet shows, food, and merchandise vendors.
One of the main attractions is live, competitive Jousting featuring the Knights of Valour Jousting Troup. Here, knights compete while scoring points with lance strikes. Jousting competitions will be held 7:30 PM Friday evening and 3 PM and 7:30 PM on Saturday in the Grandstands. 

The renaissance period will be well represented by the Barony of the Cleftlands, Cleveland’s Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The SCA is devoted to the research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat, culture, and employing knowledge of history to enrich the lives of participants through events, demonstrations, and other educational presentations and activities.

A living history will be provided by the 42nd Highland Regiment of foot. The 42nd Highland Regiment of Foot is a Revolutionary War period reenactment group based out of Marion, OH. 
Music entertainment includes The Devils Brigade (Formerly the American Rogues), The Prodigals, Jenny and the Weazels, Father, Son & Friends, On the Lash, Andrew McManus Trio and McNamara, Karen & Alastair, and the Brass Band of the Western Reserve. Dance group will include the Leneghan School of Irish Dance, The Brady Campbell School of Irish Dance, Cleveland Hts  chapter of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.

 Gates will open 4:45 PM on Friday, June 27 with the entertainment on the Rampant Lion, Clan and Tavern stages. The evening will include live jousting, food and merchandise vendors, birds of prey demonstration, Border Collie demonstration, professional piping events, genealogy, darts, workshops, pipe band performances whiskey tasting and clan exhibits. The evening will also include our "Calling of the Clans" torch lighting event at 9:45 PM.  Advanced ticket prices are $15 for adults ($17 at the door) and $10 ($12 at the door) for Junior tickets (11-17 years old). Children 10 & under are free.

For Saturday’s Highland Games, gates will open at 8 AM for early morning competitions. One of Saturday’s featured events includes the Grand Parade which begins at noon. The day will also include live jousting, solo piping and drumming competitions, pipe band competition, birds of prey demonstrations, Border Collie demonstration, highland athletics, haggis throw, highland dance competitions, harp & fiddle competitions, entertainment, genealogy, clans, entertainment, workshops, whiskey tasting, kilted mile, food and merchandise vendors. The Twilight Tattoo will take place at 6:00 PM!
