In this walk and talk, we will explore wild edible plants, permaculture (a design science for developing regenerative ways of living in a modern context), and herbalism, through the lens of yoga philosophy. This is easily my favorite class to lead! I will be sharing some very simple and profound techniques that make it easy and fun for anyone to approach foraging, gardening, and herbalism as a foundation for a spiritual path that is both grounded and practical, while still being deeply mystical and meditative. We will cover:
-the foundational principles of yoga philosophy
-the top wild edible plants in the area
-the why and how of permaculture
-the basics of herbal healing
-intro level botany
and more!
Bring a friend or three, water, snacks to share, and note taking materials if they help you to learn. Audio and video recording is allowed and encouraged (check in with the group to make sure everyone consents to being recorded and or photographed) especially if the content will be shared online.
Suggested donation of $20-40 per person is deeply appreciated, but not required. All are welcome!
