This powerful and transformative Assisting School is designed for both practitioners and teachers who wish to deepen their understanding of yoga, practice, alignment, and the art of hands-on guidance.Over the course of ten afternoon sessions, we will focus on the foundations of practice - asana, anatomy, technique, and alignment for the majority of postures in the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series. Tim and Kino weave these technical elements together with philosophy, lineage, and lived experience so students can begin to see yoga not just as physical practice, but as a genuine path of spiritual transformation.Assisting in the traditional Ashtanga method is far more than correcting a posture. At its best, it becomes a healing art - an intimate space where body, mind, and spirit meet in yogic union. Through careful analysis of technique, tradition, and communication, you will discover how to give effective and respectful adjustments that honor both student and lineage.While words and demonstration can inspire, the body often learns most deeply through touch. This course will help you develop your kinesthetic intelligence so that your hands speak the honest language of the body.
