This year's event will again benefit the , which is based in South Florida and provides incredible pediatric medical services, resources and support for patients and their families from all over the country. Named after the legendary Yankee, the full-service hospital treats minor illnesses, trauma-related accidents and some of the most complex medical conditions.
A native of Miami, FL and avid bowler, Zach Neto is the starting shortstop for the Los Angeles Angels and one of Major League Baseball's rising stars. After an All-American career at Campbell Univeristy, Zach was drafted in the first-round of the 2022 MLB Draft and made his with the Angels less than one year later - making him the fastest player in his draft class to reach the big leagues. Zach is one of just 10 shortstops in MLB history with multiple 5+ WAR seasons prior to turning 25 years old, and he just completed his second straight 20-homer / 20-stolen base campaign for the Angles.
In just a few short years in the majors, Zach's skill and talent on the diamond have been matched only by his passion and charity away from it. In 2023 and 2025, Zach was the Angles' recipient of the , which honors active players who demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody the values, spirit and traditions of the game. In each of his first three years in the big leagues, Zach was also the Angles' nominee for the , which is given annually to a current MLB player, recognizing their support of U.S. military service members and veterans and their active involvement and leadership in their community.
Back home, Zach and his family are extremely passionate about giving back to the community in South Florida – especially around causes that benefit children. For more information about this year's tournament benefactor, the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, visit www.jdch.com.
