Spanning disciplines, these works reflect the versatility of quilting as a contemporary art form.Throughout the exhibition, quilts take on unexpected forms: soft sculpture, multimedia assemblage, personal archives, meditative pieces, and large-scale narratives. Many works incorporate reused and upcycled materials, engaging quilting’s connection to sustainability and resourcefulness. Through inventive uses of material, scale, technique, and imagery, the exhibition shows how quilting continues to evolve.The exhibition also features a reading selection of more than seventy quilting books from the library’s collection.
