In partnership with DELL, this event is free, open to the public, and aimed at folks who are enthusiastic about technology, entrepreneurship, and public policy.
Our hackathons are a collaborative effort, based on teamwork and presentation skills. We welcome participants from all personal and professional backgrounds. We believe that there is strength in diverse viewpoints.
HOW IT WORKS
During the hack, teams work for 90 minutes to design solutions to policy challenges faced by entrepreneurs running growing businesses.
Teams then pitch their solution to judges, who offer critiques and ask questions. The judges select a winning solution based on the following criteria:
Does the proposed solution solve the challenge presented?
Is the proposed solution innovative, novel or unique?
Does the proposed solution have a reasonable level of utility, have the ability to be replicated and the chance of being adopted?
Dell is committed to turning the winning proposal into a reality. The team with the winning proposal will work alongside Dell and the relevant stakeholders to further develop their policy solutions post-event.
