Students from all academic disciplines, including non-McNair Scholars, actively contributing to research under the guidance of a university professor are invited to participate. Student research will be highlighted through poster presentations and selected oral presentations. Important feedback will help students improve their investigational and presentation skills; the experience will prepare them to compete at higher levels in the future.The conference helps students build both their skills and their resumes while providing valuable information about graduate school. For more information, click here.Who should attend?Undergraduate students involved in high-quality research (under the guidance of faculty) including, but not limited to, McNair Scholars, university administrators, faculty, and staff working with undergraduate students.ObjectivesThe conference will give student attendees:Experience in presenting their research to an interdisciplinary audienceA forum for receiving valuable feedback and productive critiques of their research and presentationsExposure to the research work of other studentsOpportunities to network with professors and others working in related fieldsMotivational and informational talks on the graduate admissions process and requirementsAccess to a graduate school recruitment fair to learn about master’s and Ph.D. programs at various universitiesInformation about graduate school fellowships and other funding opportunities* *Net proceeds will benefit FIU Office of Student Access & Success and the Ronald E.
