He was fortunate to study under South Florida bonsai pioneer Joe Samuels of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, serving as his apprentice for 13 years. Joe’s training, vision, and remarkable foresight for the future of bonsai deeply inspired Glenn and drew him into the art form himself. Through his involvement with the Bonsai Society of Miami, Glenn has had the opportunity to learn from renowned bonsai masters such as Ben Oki, Roy Nagatoshi, Kunio Kobayashi, and others. He has also gained invaluable knowledge from South Florida and international bonsai artist Ed Trout, as well as local artists including Mary Miller, Mike Carttret, and many more.
