Pattabhi Jois' Yoga Research Institute. She is also certified as a Reiki Master level III, Acupressure/Shiatsu and Thai Massage where she studied under master Mukti Michael Buck of the Vedic Conservatory. She is 500 hrs Yoga Alliance Certified with inspiration on the teachings of B.K S. Iyengar Therapeutic Method. Though she couldn't touch her toes or understand half of what the teacher was saying (prana-what) when she finally reached savasana she knew she had arrived somewhere special. She was back the following week, and every week thereafter until in 2012 she decided to pursue her first Yoga teacher training at Ayama Yoga Center. Upon graduating she began to take steps towards teaching full time while also integrating yoga and mindfulness techniques with her nursing patients.Kristina had no idea of the deeper layers of Yoga, and of herself, that she would discover and felt drawn to learn as much as she could; so a 2nd then 3rd teacher training followed in 2013 and 2014. In 2015 she began assisting with and then eventually co-teaching the training program at Ayama Yoga Center focusing on physical and energetic anatomy, sequencing, and philosophy. She is currently studying Ayurveda; the traditional medicine of India and Yoga’s sister science at Sampoorna College of Ayurveda.With a strong emphasis on alignment and body-mind-breath awareness, Kristina's classes are creatively and intelligently sequenced and open to students of all levels. With multiple variations offered to accommodate students where they are and encourage them to safely expand their possibilities.Kundalini Master: Carmen MattaCarmen Matta Parra’s has unwavering dedication to serving others and eliminating their suffering. Through years of dedication to her craft, Carmen has earned an impressive array of certifications and trainings that have made her a true master in the healing arts.Carmen has over 1000 hours of certifications in many healing arts.Vinyasa Yoga, Tai Chi/Qi Gong, and her unique blend of body and energy work in massage, has the power to truly transform pain.
