MIDVAAL TRIATHLON
(Doubling as the SA Long Course triathlon Championships 2026)

Date of Race: 22nd FEBRUARY MIDVAAL Region

Venue: Bass Lake Henley-on-Klip

Race Start:

Long Distance Triathlon (SA Champs event – this also includes the Aquabike)
2km – 80km – 20km

7am

Short Distance Triathlon
1km – 40km – 10km

7:45am

- Registration
- At Bass Lake on Saturday 21s from 12 noon till 4pm
- Registration will also take place on the day of the race 22nd February for those that cannot come through on the SAT

- The Race is an OPEN Event – TSA registered athletes will qualify for TSA Medals in each of their respective age categories

- TT bikes and Road Bikes will be allowed (NON DRAFT Event)

- At this time of year – being a quarry dam the temperature of the water should be above 23 degree’s but this can be verified on race morning by TSA

- There are plenty of B&B accommodation available in Henley – Meyerton and surrounding areas

- BASS LAKE is only a 30 minute drive from the South of JHB
