Conference themes and objectives.
Sustainable development is transforming the competitive landscape. It encourages companies to change the way they think about products, technologies, processes, and business models. Nowadays, innovation is also crucial to progress. By linking innovation and sustainability as a goal, entrepreneurs and policy-makers will develop new capabilities to improve the existing business model or creating new ones.
The Scientific Committee of the USQC Conference 2018 welcomes conceptual and empirical papers thatdeal with the common theme of "Sustainable Development and Innovation”. The purpose of the Conference is to build a bridge of different knowledge areas in order to provide a wide perspective related to innovation and sustainable development in a context where organizations are facing great challenges with the aim of promoting discussion within production systems (e.g. cleaner production, sustainable supply chains and operations), industries (such as technology, tourism, service, management, financing and accounting), governments (e.g., migration, inequality, taxation, good administration, poverty, and globalization) and education (including higher education, curriculum, skills and competencies, e-learning and education policy).
All authors are invited to submit abstracts of 250-500 words of their proposed papers to  dXNxYzIwMTggfCB1bmltZSAhIGl0.
