About this Event

Discover NASA with Dream 2 Lead!

Join D2L for a full-day exploration of astronauts, rockets, and space science at the NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. This curated field trip is designed for students ages 11–18 and includes round-trip charter bus transportation from Fort Myers and Miami, admission to the Visitor Complex, and a structured group schedule led by D2L staff and chaperones.

  • Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour to the Apollo/Saturn V Center
  • Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®
  • Rocket Garden and Journey to Mars
  • IMAX® 3D film (time permitting)
  • Curated time for exhibits, learning, and reflection

Optional Add-On
  • Meal Voucher (purchase at checkout): $15 or $20Meals are not included unless a voucher is purchased. Students may also bring money for food/souvenirs.


Preliminary Itinerary (subject to venue operations & traffic)
  • 6:00 AM – Check-in at both pickup locations (Fort Myers & Miami)
  • 6:30 AM – Buses depart
  • ~10:00 AM – Arrive at Kennedy Space Center; group orientation
  • 10:15 AM – 12:00 PM – Space Shuttle Atlantis + Launch Simulator
  • 12:00 – 1:00 PM – Lunch (meal voucher or purchase on site)
  • 1:15 – 3:00 PM – KSC Bus Tour → Apollo/Saturn V Center
  • 3:15 – 4:00 PM – Heroes & Legends / U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame
  • 4:15 – 5:00 PM – Rocket Garden / Journey to Mars
  • 5:00 – 5:45 PM – IMAX 3D film (as time allows)
  • 6:00 PM – Depart KSC
  • ~8:30 PM – Return to pickup locations

Final timing and rotations may shift to optimize the experience based on crowd levels and exhibit availability.



Who Can Attend
  • Students ages 11–18 (Grades 6–12)
  • Chaperones (limited, subject to D2L approval and completion of required forms)


Departure Locations
  • Fort Myers – exact address will be emailed to registered families at least one week prior.
  • Miami – exact address will be emailed to registered families at least one week prior.Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the listed departure time for check-in.


What to Bring
  • Small backpack or cinch bag, reusable water bottle
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes
  • Money for meals and souvenirs (if no meal voucher is purchased)
  • Any necessary medications (declare on medical form and give to trip lead if required)


Forms & Requirements

After registration, you will receive a secure link to complete:

  • Parent/Guardian Consent & Liability Waiver
  • Medical & Emergency Contact Form
  • Media Release (optional)
  • Code of Conduct (students & chaperones)

Forms must be completed by Wednesday, November 1, 2025 to keep your seat. Chaperones may be asked to complete additional screening or provide ID at check-in.



Safety & Conduct

D2L maintains a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe behavior. Students must remain with their assigned group and follow all instructions from D2L staff, chaperones, bus drivers, and KSC personnel. Security screening is conducted at KSC; guests must follow all posted policies. Prohibited items will not be allowed on the bus or at the venue.



Accessibility

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex provides accessibility accommodations. If you need specific support, please inform us during registration or contact us at least 10 days before the event so we can coordinate.



Refunds, Transfers & Cancellations
  • Refunds: All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable except in the unlikely event that D2L cancels the trip. Eventbrite fees are non-refundable.
  • Transfers: You may transfer a student ticket to another eligible student until Nov 12, 2025 (contact the organizer).
  • Weather/Operations: In case of venue closure or severe weather impacting travel, D2L will notify families with next steps or a new date.
