Music Majors and Non-Majors alike from across the Space Coast come together to perform the classic jazz sounds of Duke Ellington, Mary Lou Williams, Count Basie, Thad Jones, and modern composers such as Miho Hazama and Chuck Owen.Students are grounded in the fundamentals of the Jazz language and Swing before moving on to many universities across the state, such as Stetson, UCF, and USF.EFSC's Jazz Band is directed by Jon Oxford; a Florida native and former Army Band guitarist. General admission is paid at the door. $30 for members of the Jazz Society & Brevard Veterans Memorial Center. $35 for guests & students are FREE. Bring a snack & drink if you'd like. Tables, chairs & a beautiful view of the river are provided.
