No partner needed.
While some experience with partner dancing is encouraged, all experience levels are welcome. In fact, it's a party, so no need to dance at all. Join us for food, socializing, and general fun.
What is fusion?
Fusion is a partnered dance that combines many movement styles, whether it's swing, blues, salsa, zouk, tango, ballroom, bachata, etc. The rules dissolve leaving us with movement, connection, and most importantly play. Fusion is a conversation style dance, where both leads and follows take turns listening to each other’s input. Anyone is welcome to lead or follow. It is centered on connection and improvisation, and it can take numerous forms depending on the combination of music and dance partners. Fusion is ideal for shaking up your patterns and stepping into the unknown, as well as shifting out of your head and into your body. The freedom fusion offers is ideal for enhancing connection, unlocking creativity, and exploring play.
We kindly remind you that since we all have various dancing backgrounds, not everyone is used to or comfortable with the same types of dancing connections. Try your best to make every dance a comfortable and safe partnership.🫶
While Fusion doesn't have many rules we have a few:
-No Food or drink on the dance floor
- Filtered water machine on-site. Please bring your own bottles for water
- Please no big dancing or lifts on the dance floor
- Please be kind to one another and respect the dance space
- Anyone who wants to volunteer for entry into the dance, please reach out- help is needed! Thank you ◡̈
Lastly, there will be some food provided - But as it is a party, we’d love if you can bring something to share!
