The Mock Interview Event is mandatory for all Year 10 students.
It creates an experience for students to complete the job interview process in a safe & supportive setting, before engaging in this in the real world.
The interview is a 15-minute time slot where students meet on-on-one with their interviewer and answer a series of questions.
Students receive written feedback on their performance.
It is also an opportunity for students to meet and form connections with owners, managers, staff and representatives from a wide range of industries / organisations / businesses.
In the past, this event has been responsible for students attaining part time jobs and apprenticeships / traineeships.
Week 10, Tuesday 31.03.26, during Session Three (PPP) and Session Four (curriculum classes suspended).
Students are allocated an interview time between 12:00pm – 2:15pm. This could be anywhere between 12:15pm and 2:15pm. Closer to the event, students will be informed of their scheduled interview time so they can organise transport.
After their interview, students leave campus for the remainder of the day (“attendance not required”).
If there is any reason that you do not give permission for your child to exit campus, please contact the school.
Students are required to wear their full school uniform and are encouraged to present in a neat, tidy & professional manner.
Students are required to bring the following documents to their interview:
- Resume
- Cover letter
- Mock application letter
