Founded by the Rose family, Wairau River traces its roots to 1978, when Phil and Chris Rose established vineyards along the banks of the Wairau River. Today, the winery is known especially for vibrant Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, along with a broad lineup of expressive cool-climate wines. Marlborough’s warm days and cool nights help preserve bright acidity while allowing flavors of citrus, stone fruit, and tropical fruit to fully develop.

Matt Parker, Vice President of Sales for Wairau River Wines, will guide us through five wines and share more about the Rose family, the Marlborough region, and the winery’s fresh, food-friendly style.
