This presentation will be an overview of Lantern Court Estate’s significant local history as well as how the gardens and home are utilized today by Red Oak Camp. 

From salamanders to pollinator gardens, to bluebird monitoring, there is lots to talk about! Eddie is looking forward to sharing the story of this hidden Northeast Ohio gem. With approximately 27 acres including a ten-acre field, pond, and gardens filled with exciting and important specimens, a large parking area, and indoor facilities for multi-use and dining, Lantern Court is a local treasure. 

The estate hosts several events every year related to the mission of Red Oak Camp: TO DEVELOP CAMPERS’ INNER STRENGTHS THROUGH OUTDOOR EXPLORATION AND ADVENTURE. This storied estate is now part of the Red Oak Camp and offers several opportunities for home and garden tours every year.

YOUR HOST: Wildwood Garden Clubs was established in 1984 and its purpose is to enhance the gardens of Wildwood Cultural Center for generations to come, as well as to promote friendship and community among people with a common interest in gardening, flower arranging, and conservation.

The Garden Club meets at Wildwood Cultural Center on the third Wednesday of the month, September through June. Meetings consist of a free gardening program, or similar topic, followed by a business meeting and lunch.

Monthly programs are FREE and open to the public, but registration is required as spots are limited.
