Crooked River Chapter First Day Hike

Kick off 2026 by hiking a short section of the Buckeye Trail! We'll meet at Morton Community Park (Bedford Point 32) and shuttle to Headlands State Park and start hiking at the Northern Terminus (Bedford Point 34). The hike will be a bit less than 3 miles and no one will be left behind. (Sorry, no dogs are permitted this time.) We'll then shuttle back to the Northern Terminus to pick up the cars we left there.

For those who wish to have a longer hike, you can choose to do an out and back hike by turning around at Morton Community Park and hiking back to the Northern Terminus.

For the ambitious, you can continue headed west in the Bedford Section.... but you'll need to find your own shuttle, or other transportation, back to the Northern Terminus.

Those last two options will be on your own and not part of the official Crooked River Chapter hike.
