“Earlier this year, on June 18th, we lived our worst nightmare and said the hardest goodbye we could have possibly imagined.
Our son, Jude, was born at 22 weeks—a perfect little boy who looked just like his older siblings.

The future we had envisioned, the family we had planned for… gone in an instant.

The days that followed were incredibly dark. And while we are still trying to find our way through the depths of grieving the loss of our child, one thing has become overwhelmingly clear: our community has carried us.

Connecting with others who have experienced the pain of a similar goodbye has brought a kind of comfort that is difficult to put into words. Hearing from people who understand this kind of loss—and seeing that although the grief never goes away, there is another side we can hopefully someday learn to live within—gave us hope during the blur of those first days and weeks.

As Jude’s mom, I also began to notice something. There weren’t many positive outlets for families who had lost a child. There were grief and support groups, which are incredibly important, but I wanted something different, too. Something where loss was what connected us, but grief wasn’t the only thing we shared.

We wanted to create a space centered around something positive—movement, exercise, connection and community—while also making room to hear the stories of families who have experienced loss and to honor the precious children they carry with them every single day.

And so, Jude’s Camp was born.

Jude’s Camp is a dedication. A community. A space for families who have experienced pregnancy and child loss at any stage—miscarriage, neonatal loss, infant loss and child loss. Our stories are not the same. Our children are not the same. Our grief is not the same. But we are woven together by an immeasurable kind of loss—and by the love we will always carry for the children who should still be here. Jude’s Camp is a place to move, to connect, to remember, and to say their names.

A minimum donation of $10 will be requested to attend Jude’s Camp.

100% of the proceeds from camp donations and Jude’s Camp shirt sales will be donated to Forever Sparkling, a local organization created in memory of another family’s beautiful daughter, Jocelyn.

Through Jude’s Camp, we hope to honor not only Jude, but Jocelyn and every child whose life—no matter how brief—has left a forever imprint on the people who love them.
