UMGI 2026 focuses on resources and strategies for 19th- and early 20th-century family history research—with an emphasis on families moving to or through the Midwest. It blends lectures with student exercises that give students an opportunity to apply what they’ve just learned.
Instructors include J. H. Fonkert, CG, Jessica Fontana, and

Enrollment is limited to 35 students.
