- **Event Description**: Please join us for the third annual Dennis Gillan Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing to support the Scholarship Fund in his name.  

The Dennis Gillan Scholarship Fund has been created to assist in the post high school education of a local high school senior who will continue his or her education in agriculture, environmental science, outdoor hospitality, construction or a trade, such as welding, diesel mechanics or heavy equipment operating.  

Dennis Gillan resided in Bureau and Lee Counties his entire life and was a local farmer, business owner, Local 150 Operating Engineer and Local 393 Laborer.  His livelihood was built on hard work and sweat equity, and it is the hope of his family that the recipient of this scholarship will show the same work ethic and values in achieving his or her goals.  Scholarship applications have been sent out to all local high schools, and we are anxiously awaiting the return of completed applications and the selection of our 2026 recipient(s)!

Our biggest fundraiser in 2026 will be the Golf Outing to be held on Saturday, July 11 at the Mendota Golf Club.  We are asking you to consider sponsoring a team for the outing or 
participating in one of our sponsorship opportunities on the enclosed form.  Your company name/logo will be included and your business/family recognized at our event.  

To become a sponsor or sponsor a team, we ask that you complete one of the enclosed forms and return it to the address listed.  Please make checks payable to ‘Dennis Gillan Scholarship Fund.’
