Plein Air Painting Class

Join Mendham High School student and local artist, Vivien Zematis for a special two-hour plein-air watercolor painting class at Schiff Nature Preserve. Inspired by her love of nature and art, Vivien created this program as a fundraiser, donating 100% of the proceeds to Schiff Natural Lands Trust. Designed for ages 10 and up, this class introduces the basics of painting outdoors while capturing the beauty of the preserve.

We will meet outside of the Nature Center prior to hiking to our painting spot where Vivien will offer a demonstration and step-by-step guidance. Participants should be comfortable with a short hike and able to carry their own materials to the painting site in the Great Meadow.

Member Fee is $30, Non-member fee is $35. This program is an all weather event & held entirely outside, with exception of thunderstorms or high wind warnings. Advance registration will ensure you receive weather updates 24 hours in advance.
