She chose the path of Folk, or Outsider, art and, in particular, to work with three dimensional objects found in nature and in the dusty corners of attics. Her eclectic style pendulums between the macabre and the whimsical. Humour is an important element of her art and poetry; thus, one can often find a punch line in the pieces.   

Leaving the Holocene of the Crime reflects the dichotomy between the tragic effects of environmental degradation and a fraying social fabric cohabitating with the trivial and frivolous. The title of this show and that of much of her artwork sport puns and innuendo. One might consider this presentation to be a meme of Nero fiddling while Rome burned.
