We are excited to feature this year's exceptional winner, Hanna Yu, who will perform the captivating Allegro movement of Jacques Ibert’s Concerto for Flute and Orchestra.   https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/5dd536e0-8bd3-11f0-9c5f-cd27b3802ea0-rimg-w863-h740-dcf2f7fe-gmir.jpg In addition, the orchestra will present Richard Wagner's Prelude to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" and Franz Schubert’s "Unfinished" Symphony, honoring the GSO’s 50 years as a community orchestra. These pieces were part of our inaugural season in 1975-76. To round off the program, the audience will enjoy the charming "Polovtsian Dances" from Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor.This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee.
