Please note that this is a pot luck hosted by Kat Gordon / the Homemade Kitchen, but the food is made in individuals' home kitchens. Participants share their thoughts about the cookbook AND an actual dish they made from it.Q. How are the cookbooks selected?A. Kat chooses, but feel free to nominate one. :-)Q. Is the book included in the ticket price?A. No. Participants are on their own to purchase (or borrow) the book. Novel offers a 10% disount to the Homemade Kitchen's Cookbook Club participants- check confirmation email for your code!Q. Can kids participate?A. The event is primarily adults (age 15+), however, youth are allowed under the following conditions:Maturity to participate considerately in a grown-up settingAccompanied by a participating adult (each needs their own ticket)Each ticket-holder/participant fully participates in the event (prepare & bring a dish, show & tell, etc) :-)Q. What should I make?A. Any recipe you want from the book! Consider transportation, serving, etc. Bring your item ready to display & serve. It's very helpful if you've already portioned it for sampling.Q. How many servings should I bring?A. Just the normal yield of the recipe is fine. We usually have 15-25 participants, and each person only needs 1-2 bites of each dish. Everyone is sampling everything, so small portions are great.Q. Do I need to bring anything else?A. Bring any serving utensils you need. Bring a beverage and/or your book to take notes/reference, if you like!Note: I provide paper plates, napkins, forks, pencils, and stand-up cards to label your dish. Hand sinks & food service gloves are available. I have a FEW extra serving utensils, but not enough for everyone, so please bring what you need to share your dish. :-)Q. What about cancellations?A. Space is limited, so ticket sales are final. If you can't make it, you may gift your ticket to a friend. If folks are on the waitlist, I can reach out to them for you.
