Guns makes domestic violence 5 times more likely to result in death.Men’s behavior is key to ending domestic violence, rape, sexual assault and stalking.On Saturday, Oct. 3, men and boys will rally to show their support in the 15th annual Memphis Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.All are invited to unite against gender violence as the Walk returns to downtown, with a rally and live music in Handy Park followed by the Walk on Beale, Front, Talbot and Main to return to the park.The 2026 Walk is organized by the Memphis Area Women’s Council in partnership with Memphis Says NO MORE, National Coalition of 100 Black Women Memphis Chapter, Crimestoppers and Splash Creative.Deborah Clubb, Women’s Council executive director, said the Walk means even more as state and national officials pay ever stronger attention to crime and safety in Memphis and Shelby County.“Violence against women and girls ruins lives, causes lifelong emotional trauma and chronic illness and injury.
