No hard sells, no pitches, no compulsory referrals, no pressure to bring guests — just relaxed, informal events where business owners, entrepreneurs, salespeople and professionals can build genuine relationships over good food and a drink.HistoryFounded in 2019 by Rob Spence of Paragon Sales Solutions, the group launched as The Leicestershire Business Network Group, created to bring together business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals to form and solidify positive business relationships. It grew steadily on the back of monthly face-to-face meetings held at venues across Leicestershire, typically drawing around 35 attendees, with a community of over 1,600 businesses across a wide range of sectors building up around it — including an active Facebook group that keeps conversations going between events. As the group outgrew its county-specific name, it was rebranded as FRESH — "a fresh approach to networking" — reflecting both the ethos and the ambition to grow beyond its original Leicestershire footprint.TodayFRESH now runs a small family of formats:FRESH Networking — monthly evening and daytime events at venues across Leicestershire, including Paragon Creative Studios, with a drink on arrival, food, games and open networking. Some events run themed, from 90s nostalgia nights to seasonal celebrations.FRESH Live Business Club — a premium monthly meeting at Hotel Voco, built around a two-course lunch, roundtable discussions and a quiz.FRESH Coworking Club — the second Tuesday of each month, 9:00–16:00, offering hotdesking, WiFi and informal connection. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events5/banners/63f4f7c0-ba73-11f1-a9fb-b7875b1c57f7-rimg-w869-h740-dcf8f8f8-gmir.jpg About Round Corner BrewingRound Corner Brewing is an independent craft brewery based in the historic cattle market at Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire — a "town-meets-country" site in the heart of Britain's Rural Capital of Food. Its mission is simple: "to put great beer into more people's hands," brewing award-winning beer of unmistakable character with patience, finesse and no rough edges. The name nods both to the balance and roundness of a well-made beer and to the shape of one of the region's most celebrated exports — a wedge of Stilton.HistoryThe brewery is the work of two lifelong friends: Colin Paige, an internationally acclaimed brewer with decades of experience as head brewer and brewmaster at major breweries, in brewhouses and hop fields around the world, and Combie Cryan, a former City director and entrepreneur with a passion for beer and for the Melton community. The idea was hatched on their travels in the southern hemisphere and took some 15 years to come to fruition.Round Corner launched in December 2018, pouring its first beer at Melton's Victorian Christmas Fayre, and opened a state-of-the-art bespoke brewhouse capable of brewing 2,000 litres at a time, along with a taproom on site.AwardsRound Corner has become one of the most decorated small breweries in the UK:2021 — International Small Pack Ale Trophy at the International Brewing & Cider Awards for Steeplechase Pale Ale2022 — gold medals at the World Beer Awards2023 — four England Country Winner titles (Gunmetal, Beneath The Streets, Frisby Lager and 10 Hours In LA) plus four further silvers and bronzes, making it the most awarded UK brewery at that year's World Beer Awards2024 — five medals at the International Brewing & Cider Awards, including the International Keg Ale Trophy for Drovers Hazy Session IPA, named the best keg ale in the world, alongside Frisby Lager, Social Club Nitro Stout and Underwater Song Baltic PorterThe brewery has medalled at the World Beer Awards every year since 2020, and has also picked up honours at the European Beer Challenge and the International Beer Challenge, including a Rising Star award and Best Lager.TodayThe core range spans golden ale, West Coast IPA, lager, black lager and pale ale, supplemented by seasonal "Market Editions," collaborations and taproom specials brewed with other local food producers. Head brewer Lara Lopes leads the brewing team. The taproom is the beating heart of the operation — open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for drinking in, with fresh cans available across the week, no booking needed, regular food vendors, brewery tours, and a year-round events programme including Oktoberfest. A Refill Club membership with branded growlers lets regulars take brewery-fresh beer home.A guided behind-the-scenes tour of the breweryA tutored tasting of 4 x 1/3 pints from our core range, exploring a variety of styles, flavours, and brewing techniquesAn informal Q&A with our team.
