Remembering Our Fallen Through Portraiture

Melissa Historical Society and Melissa Public Library are honored to host US Air Force veteran and artist Colin Kimball in a presentation on his deeply meaningful portrait project that honors fallen heroes of Collin County. Many of these portraits are on permanent display in the "Hall of Heroes" at the Collin County Courthouse, Russell A. Steindam Courts Building. Colin will share with us insights into his intensive research process, some of his favorite stories, examples of his paintings, and the project's connection to the "Wall of Honor" at the Veterans Memorial Park in McKinney.
