Discover Carnival Glass

What is Carnival Glass? The original glass was a “poor man’s Tiffany” mass-produced from 1908 until about 1920. Your grandmother or great-grandmother may have had a yellow-orangish bowl that had iridescence, like oil on water. Fred and Elaine Blair have been collecting Carnival Glass for over 30 years and have over 1,000 pieces in their collection. The Blairs will display several pieces of glass, give information on how to identify pieces, and try to answer questions individuals may have. If you have an iridized piece of that that you think may be Carnival Glass, bring it to the meeting. They will try to identify your piece’s pattern and attempt to give you a price range on value. Prices range from $1 to $250K.
