In 1998, Norway’s THE KOVENANT (known back then as Covenant) released ‘Nexus Polaris’, a landmark symphonic black metal album that defied genre conventions and successfully combined extreme metal elements with its cosmic themes, polished production, and melodic, neo-classical guitar work. Every song sounded like a new masterpiece, never treading over the same path all the while pushing a new threshold in every aspect. ‘Nexus Polaris’ is widely regarded as a groundbreaking release, one of the classic, essential symphonic black metal albums of all time, and these two exclusive Australian shows should not be missed by anyone!
