For the last 2 years, I've been releasing global dancehall hits ??, heavyweight reggae riddims ?? and hard-hitting bass music ? with some of Jamaica’s and the UK’s most legendary artists.
The project has been endorsed by everyone from David Rodigan (BBC 1Xtra) to Uncommon Records (Glastonbury Festival), Federation Sound (Red Bull Radio), IRIE Mag, reggaeville, Boomtown Fair, triple j and community radio, with strong grassroots support from sound systems & DJs around the world ???
The album features over 20 phenomenal artists and some surprises ;) and believe me it was no easy feat to chase them all down and get them into studios across Kingston to get all the recordings done in time!
My Vital Sound album drops in November and features a massive line-up of Jamaican artists including:
Capleton / Sizzla / Fantan Mojah / Ninjaman / Richie Spice / Prince Alla / Dre Island / Iba MaHr / Aza Lineage / Ineziflowofficial / JAH IZREHL / iotosh / rising star Wayne J and his dad, veteran reggae singer Wayne J Senior / Fyah Roiall!
AND also features UK icons: Rider Shafique / SOOM T / Riko Dan / KILLA P / Irah / Speng Bond
I've just spent the last 3 months holed up in the studio 10 hours a day, 7 days a week to create a really interesting album, with a dash of Monkey magic ?✨
And now I'm pulling out all stops for my hometown show.
For this very special occasion, I'm flying out heavyweight MC Rider Shafique from Gloucester, UK and killer grimehall rapper Fyah Roiall, who is coming to Australia from Kingston, Jamaica for the very first time ?
Expect heavyweight bass vibrations and get ready to join myself, Rider Shafique, Fyah Roiall and the one and only champion turntablist Dj Wasabi on a dancefloor-pumping adventure through hip hop, reggae, dub, dancehall and bass music.
We've also brought together an amazing Melbourne community showcase of everyone who has been part of this journey with me and supported me along the way.
What a joy it is to be part of this thriving Melbourne musical community - the best in Australia.

? ABOUT MONKEY
Here's a nice quote about me ;)
“Monkey Marc is a producer’s producer; staunchly independent and probably Australian electronic music’s best-kept secret. His music channels the spirit of punk, original dubstep, Public Enemy, modern beats and electronic culture, and the heaviest of Jamaican riddims all at once.” - VICE

? About Rider Shafique
Rider Shafique is an acclaimed UK vocalist and poet, described by UKF as “one of the most vital voices in MC culture”.
He brings together the post-hip hop polyrhythms of the UK-Carribean, and an understated, elegant way with melody, combining righteous dancehall with an erudite political awareness and a sound system culture message.
Rider Shafique is a prolific and versatile MC at both live events and recording, with countless features across dub, dancehall, hip hop, dubstep and drum & bass.
He has worked with the most well-known producers and record labels in the electronic music scene, including Swindle, Kahn, Submotion Orchestra, Author, J.Sparrow, Sam Binga, Gantz, O$VMV$M, Ishan Sound, Deep Medi, Critical Music and Navy Cut.
? About Fyah Roiall
Fyah Roiall (pronounced Royal) is Jamaica’s most unique voice in hip hop, effortlessly bringing hip hop and Jamaican culture together.
With a charismatic flow born from his sharp political mind and social consciousness, Fyah Roiall is inspired by the creativity of early Jamaican reggae and dancehall music, and excited by his Jamaican brothers & sisters in the UK diaspora leading the grime, garage and dubstep scenes.
Roiall references the origins of black political hip hop, but maintains his authentic Jamaican flow and accent. As a hip hop artist, he is unique on the island as most Jamaican artists are reggae or dancehall musicians.
An electrifying live performer, Roiall cut his teeth on soundsystem parties all over Jamaica and brings explosive freestyles and a raw, electric presence to the stage.
