Hey! 👋 We're Bianca (@biancainmelbourne) Cal & Ciara (@beyonderaus), Melbourne-locals who love travelling and trying new experiences together.
We've designed this special amazing-race style challenge across the city where over the course of one or two days, you'll explore the city through a series of locations, tasks, and challenges that lead you to discover our city's hidden gems. Whether you’re racing competitively, teaming up with friends, or flying solo, this event is open to everyone. Go at your own pace, choose your own strategy, and enjoy the journey as much as the destination. From iconic laneways to lesser-known local spots, the Gem Race is all about discovery, curiosity, and seeing Melbourne through a new lens.

Accessibility: The Melbourne Gem Race involves participation from a variety of CBD venues with different levels of accessibility. Each location listed in the race map will state whether it's wheelchair accessible or not. The primary mode of transport for the race is via footpath & tram, with CBD routes 96, 11, 19, 109, and 30 providing free reliable, accessible transport across the city centre.
