Melbourne members and friends, we have some VERY exciting news! It's been five long years since we last had one of Australia's most awarded female winemakers in town - and we're finally bringing her back this November!
Join us as we wine away the evening with one of our favourite fabulous ladies of wine, revered winemaker Elena Brooks - founder and co-owner of Dandelion Vineyards.
Elena's story is quite incredible. As a young girl in Bulgaria, Elena’s mother worked in a winery. The demise of the Soviet Republic opened the door to an influx of westerners interested in the age-old history of wine making in these former states. Many Australians visited and stayed at the winery and as the only one able to speak English, Elena started helping translate after school. By the age of 12, she was interpreting barrel tastings with the winemakers. By the age of 15, she had the wine knowledge and vocabulary of a veteran, and by 16 she was making her first batches of Chardonnay!
After study she ventured and worked in many amazing wine regions of the world, and has now settled with her husband and two children in McLaren Vale. With the myriad of award winning wines she now makes under Dandelion Vineyards, Elena is recognised as one of Australia’s brightest stars.
Elena will be hosting us - sharing her story and her wines - for this glorious dinner for our Melbourne members! The gorgeous Bistrot Bisou on Flinders Lane will be our gorgoues venue for this. The chefs are creating a bespoke five-course, French style menu to match Elena's amazing wines.

- Tickets: Don’t worry about printing your tickets, as we will have a list of registered names at the door!
- Seating: Want to be seated with a particular group of people? No problem! Just make your preferences known on arrival at the venue and we’ll be sure you all wine and dine together. If you have a group larger than 4, please advise us prior to the event by emailing

- Arriving late: Please note that late arrivals are permitted, however you may miss out on any wine or food that has already been served.
- Cancellations: No refunds are permitted. We know this is strict, however hospitality has tight margins and events are tough to execute at the best of times. COVID just made all that tougher. Your ticket is fully transferable though so you can send someone else in your place. Just let us know so we’ve got the right name at the door.
- Dietary restrictions: We are more than delighted to try and cater for any dietary restrictions, however our ability to do so is dependant on the venue we are working with. You must submit your dietary request at the time of booking in the booking form.
