Through the 5Rhythms ritual dance and trauma sensitive mindfulness, you will be guided through the terrain of the heart. This weekend retreat will be an opportunity to tend to the unattended. We invite you into a circle of safety to hold together what is too big to be held alone. Lucia has spent her life dedicated to understanding the nature of the heart. Her specialised work around grief-wellness is rooted in a lifetime of personal development and study. She comes to share this with you from a place of love as we invest in the path of liberation and compassion. We hope to see you there!
This workshop is designed for everyone, of every age and shape.
We recommend you have attended some 5Rhythms Waves classes prior to attendance. All workshop hours are prerequisites for the 5Rhythms® teacher training.

This workshop offers an allocation of tickets at different price points i.e. ‘Tiers‘.
We have a broad range of financial capacity in our community. Please reflect on what you are able to pay and choose accordingly, keeping in mind that there are a limited number of tickets at the lowest price.

If you can afford a bit more, please choose from Tier 2 or 3. There will be an allocation of tickets for each tier and the number of tickets remaining will display in the checkout below.
One additional tier ‘pay it forward’ invites members of our dance community to join us in creating subsidised places for those who need it. Please write to us if you need a subsidised place to be able to attend.

Lucia Horan is a leader, wife and mother. She was born and raised in the Esalen community. Teaching since 1998, Lucia received life-long direct training with Gabrielle Roth in the 5Rhythms® method. She is formally empowered to teach Buddhist mindfulness in all capacities. She is a certified Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness teacher. Her unique perspectives on insight have been published in the book ‘Dancing with Dharma: Essays on Movement And Dance in Western Buddhism’. Lucia also teaches Buddhist meditation, emotional intelligence, grief work, and women’s empowerment. She has also worked as a somatic educator for leading corporate organisations and is an ordained minister.
