This is only course based on the International Core Curriculum of Forest Therapy (ICCFT), as detailed in the first International Handbook of Forest Therapy (Kotte, Li, Shin & Michalsen 2019, Cambridge Scholars Publishing/UK)

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 4-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩.

During the 4-day experiential and reflection workshop you will:

1. Get an overview of the history and evidence-based practice of Forest Therapy and gain access to the latest research and case studies with a right balance of science.
2. Learn the Art of Forest Therapy Guiding to skillfully curate and facilitate immersive Nature and Forest Therapy experiences, workshops and retreats.
3. Experience and learn sensory and creative awareness and facilitation skills.
4. Get guidance and learn legal, ethical, logistical, social, cultural and business practices from experienced practitioners and educators.
5. Learn the essentials of risk assessment, liability insurance, and working on public and private lands
6. Receive professional support, insight, confidence and inspiration to offer nature and Forest Therapy individual, private and group sessions, workshops and retreats.
7. Get access and instruction to the interactive online Learning Management System (LMS) to continue your mentored practicum.

Designed to take you on a journey of discovery spanning decades of science and research, this training introduces experiential, creative, practical, and theoretical aspects of Forest Therapy.

Delve deep into the Japanese concept of "Shinrin Yoku" as well as the standards set in the International Core Curriculum for Forest Therapy.

Training is provided by a team of lecturers who are all tertiary and internationally qualified in Educational Management, Forest Therapy, Forest Medicine, Psychology, Counseling, Business and Law and other relevant disciplines. The program consists of a six-month blended training course preceded by a four-day in-person training that guarantees international certification of Forest Therapy Guides. INFTA professional training specializes in key competencies for guiding Forest Therapy walks, grounded in nature connection practices, appropriate pedagogy, scientific underpinnings and environmental stewardship.
