- **Event Description**: In this 3 hour workshop we will look at energy drills taken from Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do as well as from the Filipino martial arts specifically Doce Pares.The drills and lessons learned will be applicable to self defence and sports fighting.We will play with:* Drills to build skills* Applying and countering locks* Applying and countering disarms* Use of flow* Structure and movement* Grounding and connection* Plus a look into Robs work in his adaptive programsPersonally speaking Robert Halaijian was my instructor from around 1997 to 2002. If it wasn't for Rob and what and how he taught I wouldn't be where I am today in my martial career. The lessons I learnt have been foundational in my own understanding and have helped me create what I teach today in Australia and around the world. I feel this workshop will help you gain a greater understanding of what you do and how to improve it with play based energy drills.Apart from Rob and myself it will be a dickhead free zone so even if you slightly suspect you may be one please don't bother coming as we are at out full quota with just us two.
