Integrity, Assurance and Executive Services Division is running monthly Briefings and Correspondence training sessions throughout 2020.
Corporate staff from the Department of Education and Training can attend a 90 minute workshop on how to write effective briefings and high-quality responses to correspondence.
Participants will discuss:
steps, roles and responsibilities in the briefings and correspondence process
how to use the Department’s briefing templates and support good decision making
best practice writing principles, putting the most important information up the front, writing clearly and keeping your audience front of mind
how to ensure briefings are written in a way that helps our Secretary and Ministers understand what decision you are asking them to make and why
resources and support available for staff
The workshop is held each month at 2 Treasury Place. Regional staff can participate in the training sessions using Polycom.
