Anna Scionti (pronounced Shon-tee) is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and
bottleneck slide player who mixes it up on cigar box and six-string guitar.
Scionti’s raw and original stamp on blues music is making a mark on the
blues scene in Australia.
Uninhibited foot stomping blues, driving guitars and honey-soaked,
gravel-infused vocals draw you deep in to her world of electrified
rhythmic tunes. Her songs of love, loss, and longing are uninhibited and
unapologetic in their honesty.
Scionti was a semi-finalist in the 2024 International Blues Challenge in
Memphis, Tennessee. On return from the U.S.A released the new album ‘Sparrow and The Fox’ July 2024.
Scionti’s releases include ‘Junkbox Racket’ (2020), ‘Orphan Diary’
(2019) and her 2017 self-titled EP.
Bringing her collection of cigar box guitars and songs steeped in blues, roots and rock, Anna Scionti plays the Front Bar at The Tote Hotel on Sunday 22nd June 2025.
